I thought I’d write a quick post on this hugely popular pic I posted up on Instagram recently. If you’ve been reading my posts long enough (thank you! x), you’ll know it’s no secret that I love raw cacao. I can’t get enough it. Some of the ways I’ve used the raw chocolate goodness is in pancakes and porridge.
But my absolute favorite way to enjoy this superfood is in my Raw Chocolate Velvet Smoothie. Seriously, what better way to start the day than a chocolate milkshake that’s actually good for you?
I can’t stress enough how good this is nutritionally, and how absolutely AH-AMAZING it tastes. If you’re a Milo fan or usually go for powdered chocolate varieties for your chocolate hit, then imagine you’re drinking that but an even more decadent version. Plus, you’ll be getting a good dose of fibre, vitamins and phytonutrients (from the baby spinach), healthy fats (from the raw nuts and chia seeds), protein (nuts again and pea protein powder) and antioxidants (from the raw cacao powder).
